Heard Mr. Vanarse, learned AGP for Respondent. 2.

On 18.01.2024, none appeared for the parties and following order was passed:- "1.

None appears for parties.

This Writ Petition raises a very narrow issue in so far determination of date on which interest of compensation would be payable i.e. whether Respondents would be entitled to interest from 07.05.1987 according to the Petitioner or from 01.02.1982 according to Respondents.

3.

It is seen that entire decreetal amount has been already paid by Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation. Claim of Respondents is for interest against which the present Writ Petition is filed.

4.

Petitioner is Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation which is otherwise and always represented by Advocate before this Court.

5.

In that view of the matter, one opportunity is given to the Petitioner Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation to remain present on the next adjourned date. 6.

Stand over to 25th January, 2024."

Today when the matter is called out, none appears for the

Mr. Vanarse, learned AGP appears for Respondent No.3. In view of the above, the Writ Petition cannot be kept pending. Writ Petition stands dismissed for want of prosecution and default. 5.
