Heard Mr. Najmi, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners, Mr. Rayrikar, learned AGP appearing for Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 and Mr. Pansare, learned counsel appearing for Respondent Nos. 5 to 8.

The impugned order in the present Writ Petition is the order dated 24.01.2023 passed by the Hon'ble Minister of Co-operation, by which the Revision Application No. 546 of 2022 was dismissed. In the said Revision Application, challenge was to the order dated 26.09.2022 passed by the Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Mumbai Division, Mumbai, by

which the Petitioners' Application for stay fled in the Revision Application No. 382 of 2022 was rejected. Thus, in effect, there is no stay to the order dated 29.07.2022 passed by the Deputy Registrar, Co-operative Societies, R/S Ward, Mumbai under Section 79A(3) of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960.

It is the contention of Mr. Najmi, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners that his Revision Application No. 382 of 2022 is pending before the Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Mumbai Division, Mumbai and the next date is 12.12.2023. It is his request that the Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Mumbai Division, Mumbai be directed to decide the said Revision Application No. 382 of 2022 expeditiously. Mr. Najmi, learned counsel for the Petitioners further states in view of above submissions, he has instructions not to press the Writ Petition.

The Divisional Joint Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Mumbai Division, Mumbai is requested to dispose of the said Revision Application No. 382 of 2022 as expeditiously as possible and in any event, on or before 31.03.2024.

The Writ Petition is disposed of in above terms with no order as to costs.
