This petition should not be entertained by this Court for the simple reason that the petitioners are Government servants holding civil posts within the meaning of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 (Civil posts under the State). Therefore, the Administrative Tribunal set up under that Act has original jurisdiction to take up all service matters and decide them in accordance with law.

Admittedly, the claim of the petitioners pertains to a service matter. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed for want of alternate remedy.
