It prima facie appears that the investigating officer has taken the applicant in custody and released him despite one of the offence being alleged against the applicant is non-bailable. 2.

The Superintendent of Police, Sangli shall hold an inquiry in relation to the conduct of the investigating officer and shall take appropriate steps in accordance with law.

Since the applicant is already arrested, nothing remains in the anticipatory bail application. The anticipatory bail application, therefore, stands disposed of.

The Superintendent of Police shall report compliance of this order to this Court within three months from today.
