On 11th March, 2020, the applicant was admitted to protection from arrest, by recording that offence arose out of matrimonial discord between the parties. To enable the parties to explore the possibility of settlement, complainant was directed to be impleaded in the application. 2.

Admittedly, no such amendment is carried out nor the complainant is added.

The position is that interim protection continue to operate in favour of the applicant and there is no possibility of ascertaining whether any settlement has been effected, since neither the applicant is represented nor the complainant is added as respondent.
