The appellant has also applied for suspension of sentence imposed upon him. I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant/appellant in that regard. I have glanced through the Judgment delivered by the trial Court and also through the notes of evidence recorded during the trial.

After taking a prima facie view of the matter, this does not appear to be a case calling for suspension of the sentence Gaikwad RD 1/2
9.APEALNo.3302015 during the pendency of the appeal. However, in the circumstances explained by the learned counsel for the applicant/appellant, the appeal needs to be expeditiously decided.

The application for suspension of sentence is rejected. 6.
Hearing of the appeal is ordered to be expedited. 7.
The appeal is directed to be fixed for final hearing on 16th April 2015.

Registrar (Judicial) to ensure that the record and proceedings are received in the meantime. Liberty to the applicant/appellant to apply for suspension of sentence afresh, in the event of the appeal not being taken up for final hearing within a reasonable time.
