By this writ petition, the petitioner seeks writ of mandamus against the respondent no.1 to decide Appeal No.806 of 2016 and stay application dated 29th November,2016 forthwith. 2.

Mr.Patil, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said appeal as well as the stay application are still pending before the respondent no.1 and shall be directed to be disposed of expeditiously. 3.

Since the said appeal as well as the stay application are pending for more than three years, it would be appropriate if the respondent no.1 is directed to dispose of the said appeal as well as stay application described in prayer clause (a) of the writ petition expeditiously and not later than six weeks from the date of communication of this order. It is ordered accordingly.

(a) The respondent no.1 is directed to dispose of the said appeal as well as stay application described in prayer clause (a) of the writ petition within six weeks

kvm 2/2 21-WPST4720.20.doc from the date of communication of this order. (b) The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent no.1 on 30th March,2020 at 11.00 a.m.. If the date fixed by this court is not convenient to the respondent no.1, an early date shall be communicated to the petitioner by the respondent no.1.

(c) The petitioner shall not seek any unnecessary adjournment and shall co-operate with the respondent no.1 in disposing of the said proceedings expeditiously. (d) The learned A.G.P. has agreed to convey this order to the respondent no.1 with a direction to comply with the said order passed by this court.

(e) Till the aforesaid proceedings are disposed of by the respondent no.1, no coercive steps would be taken by the respondents against the petitioner pursuant to the impugned order which is subject matter of the said appeal and the notice dated 25th February,2020 annexed at Ex.K to the petition and for a period of two weeks from the date of communication of the order if the said order is adverse against the petitioner.

Writ petition is disposed of on the aforesaid terms. No order as to costs.
