Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

The Petitioners have sought a direction to the Respondents to allot an alternate land to the Petitioner in lieu of acquisition of land specified in the petition. In the petition, the Petitioners have stated that the Petitioners have applied for an alternate land, however, there is no response from the Respondents. Copy of the application is not placed on record. It is not discernible as to when the application was made and whether it is still available with the Respondents. Therefore, it would be appropriate that the Petitioners make a fresh application. The learned counsel for the

skn 2 40-WP-6169.2022.doc State states that if the application for alternate land is received by the Respondent- authorities, the same will be considered as per the law and the outcome thereof will be informed to the Petitioners. The same be done within a period of eight weeks from the receipt of the application, subject to earlier time-bound directions and against public duties of the Authority.

Accordingly, writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
