The above writ petition has been filed for seeking a direction that respondent no.7 be directed to constitute a Special Investigating Team consisting of independent persons to investigate in the affairs of the respondents no.8 to 18 and also into the allegations made
* 2/3 * in the present petition against the said respondents and report to this Court. A further direction is sought against the respondents no.1 to 17 to register an offence against the respondents no.8 to 18 under the relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the Income Tax Act and the Indian Penal Code and to prosecute the same expeditiously. The petitioner had approached the Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Government of Maharashtra by making the same allegations as are appearing in the present petition. The Learned APP, Mr. Saste, submits that the said allegations were looked into by conducting a discreet enquiry. However, the outcome of the said enquiry may not have been communicated to the petitioners. The Learned APP makes a statement, on
* 3/3 * the instructions of Shri. Vivek Joshi, Deputy Superintendent, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Raigad that, such a communication would be made within two weeks from date. The petitioner thereafter to decide the future course of action that he is required to follow. However, since the Learned APP states that the complaint of the petitioners to the Director General of Police, AntiCorruption Bureau has been looked into and an enquiry has been conducted, it is not necessary, to keep the above petition pending.

As indicated above, it would be contingent upon the reply that the petitioner would receive, that the petitioner can decide the future course of action. The petition to accordingly stand disposed of.
