1) Heard. Applicants herein are seeking transit bail. 2) The learned counsel for the applicants submits that crime no. 238 of 2016 is registered at Manipal Police Station Udupi Sub-Division, District Udupi, Karnataka State against them. It is submitted that applicant in

2 53.356.17 aba Criminal Anticipatory Bail Application No. 357 of 2017 had suffered cardiac arrest on 28/01/2017 and was hospitalized at Lilavati Hospital, Bandra. She has undergone bypass surgery on 05/02/2017. According to the learned counsel, on 09/02/2017, police personnels from Karnataka had visited the house of the applicant and had informed the family members that applicants are accused in crime no. 238 of 2016 and that they intend to arrest the applicants.

3) The learned counsel for the applicants submits that applicants intend to join the investigation in crime no. 238 of 2016 or take appropriate steps, as advised and hence, they seek transit bail.

4) Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions advanced across the bar, applicants deserve the relief prayed for, without going into the merits of the matter.

O R D E R

(i) Applications are allowed.

(ii) In the event of arrest in crime no. 238 of 2016 registered at Manipal Police Station Udupi Sub-Division, District Udupi, Karnataka State, applicants be enlarged on bail on furnishing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.

3 53.356.17 aba 25,000/- with one or more local solvent sureties in the like amount. (iii) The interim relief shall remain in force for a period of 6 weeks from today.

(iv) Upon expiry of 6 weeks, interim relief shall stand deemed to be cancelled.

(v) Applications stand disposed of.
