However, we accede to the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners that since the respondent no. 2 though has paid the amount but has not paid the interest on the gratuity amount for which the petitioners are entitled, the same be ordered to be paid. 3] Learned counsel for the respondent no. 2, on instructions from Mr. S. V. Deshpande - General Manager (Personnel & Admin), submits that statutory interest as may be payable for the delayed payment on gratuity will be paid to the petitioners within three months from today.
4] Recording the said statement, we dispose of these contempt petitions.
