Learned counsel for the applicant submits that during the pendency of this application, the applicant has been arrested by the police on 6th April, 2021. He was produced before the concerned Court on 7th April, 2021 and he has been remanded to Police custody. The grievance of the applicant is that since interim protection was granted by this Court, the order of this Court ought to have complied by the Police and the Court and the applicant ought to have released on bail. On perusal of the order, it can be seen that the interim protection was granted on 4th March, 2021 and the application was Sajakali Jamadar

Undisputedly, the application was to be listed on 22nd March, 2021. The applicant did not seek extension of interim relief. The contention of the applicant is that there was no need to seek extension in view of tenor of the said order which was continuing relief. This submission cannot be accepted. Since the applicant has been arrested, application has become infructuous. Application stands disposed of accordingly.
