Having heard the learned counsel for the respective parties and having gone through the petition along with annexures thereto, we deem it convenient to dispose of this petition by directing the Respondent-CIDCO to decide the regularisation application made by the petitioner as early as possible, and preferably within two months from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter. All points and contentions are kept open and the Authorized Officer of the CIDCO shall decide the representation of the petitioner for regularisation independently, on its own merits and in accordance with law.

In order to enable the Authorized Officer of CIDCO to decide the said representation, the petitioner shall remain present before the CIDCO/Authorized Officer on 10.5.2018 along with a copy of the said representation for regularisation and a copy of this order.

Till the decision of the representation for regularisation by the CIDCO Authorized Officer, both the parties shall maintain status quo as on today.

In the event the order of the CIDCO is adverse to the interest of the petitioner, CIDCO shall not implement the decision for a period of two weeks from the date of intimation thereof to the petitioner.
