On 16 March 2020, this Court issued an ad-interim order granting pre-arrest bail to the applicant for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 419, 417, 406, 384, 467, 468, 114, 506 r/w. 34 of the Indian Penal Code. The applicant has been under interim protection for over four years. The charge-sheet has already been filed in 2021.

Learned APP, on instructions, fairly submits that the

sg 2/2 1.aba636-20.doc applicant is co-operating with the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not necessary. As such, the ad-interim protection has now been confirmed.

In the light of this, the following order is passed:

ORDER

(i) If the applicant is arrested in connection with C.R. No.376 of 2019, registered with Rajarampuri Police Station, Kolhapur, for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 419, 417, 406, 384, 467, 468, 114, 506 r/w. 34 of the Indian Penal Code, he be released on bail on executing a P.R. Bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount;

(ii) The applicant shall attend Rajarampuri Police Station, Kolhapur, as and when directed by the Investigating Officer;

(iii) The applicant shall not directly or indirectly try to influence the prosecution witnesses and tamper with the evidence.
