1] This is an application for extension of time for furnishing surety. By an order dated 15.12.2015, the applicant was directed to be released on bail on a condition that he shall furnish one or two solvent local sureties in the sum of Rs.5 lacs. The said order was subsequently modified by an order dated 21.1.2016 and the applicant was directed to comply with the condition imposed upon him by an order dated 15.12.2015 within a period of six weeks from the date of his release from jail. 2] The learned Counsel for the applicant submitted that the applicant has been released from jail on 28.1.2016. That the applicant has already furnished the documents of surety before the Trial Court and the same is in the process of verification. He submitted that in the meantime the mother of

Dond 2/2 appp.171-2016.sxw the surety has expired and therefore the surety was unable to attend the Trial Court for verification of the documents. He submitted that the said period of six weeks may further be extended by two weeks. The learned APP has no objection for the said innocuous request.

3] In view of the same, the period to furnish surety is hereby extended by three weeks from today.
