According to the petitioner, his caste validity claim is pending before respondent No.2 since 30th June, 2006 and till date it has not been decided. He submits that in the absence of the caste validity certificate, respondent No.3 is likely to take action against the petitioner for terminating his services as he was required to submit caste validity certificate within six months from the date of his appointment. In support of his submission, the learned Counsel for the petitioner has placed reliance on the appointment order dated 18th April, 2017 (Exh.F).

Having considered the submissions made by the learned Counsel for the parties, we dispose of the petition by directing Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Nashik, to consider and take appropriate decision on the petitioner's pending claim of caste validation as expeditiously as possible, but in any case not later than four months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Till the caste validity claim is decided no coercive steps be taken by respondent No.3 for terminating the petitioner's services on the ground of non production of the said certificate. The petitioner to appear before Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Nashik, on 21st March, 2018 at 11.00 a.m.
