Heard the learned counsel for the applicant.

This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing the Criminal Appeal challenging the conviction of the applicant recorded by the Sessions Judge, Greater Bombay in Sessions Case No.751 of 2011 wherein the applicant has been convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 385, 386, 504, 323, 506 of Indian Penal Code and Section 37(i)(a) read with Section 135 of the Bombay Police Act and is sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for ten years and fine of Rs.300/- in default S.I. for three months vide the judgment and order dated 29.3.2012. The delay in

The learned counsel for the applicant submits that due to economic stringency, the applicant could not file the appeal within the stipulated time that there was nobody to espouse the cause of the applicant. 4.

For the reasons assigned in paragraph 3 of the application, the application seeking condonation of delay deserves to be allowed. Delay is condoned in the interest of justice. Application is allowed and disposed of. 5.

Leave to add/amend. Amendment to be carried out in the prayer clause forthwith.
