It is not in dispute that the election programme is already announced. Voting is proposed to be held on 14th March 2018. Objection of the petitioners is that nomination form of the respondent no.4 could not be accepted by the Election Officer on the ground that he was disqualified.

In view of the fact that the election programme is already issued and all steps prior to the date of holding voting are already over,

ppn 2 11.wp-2834.18 & ors..doc at this stage, I am not inclined to entertain this petition. The remedy of the petitioners is by way of filing an election petition. 3.

All the writ petitions are dismissed with liberty to file election petition by keeping all the contentions of the petitioner in this petition as well as the objection filed before the election officer open. Copy of the impugned order shall be made available to the petitioners and the election officer by the respondent no.1 within one week from today without fail.
