The Petitioner has working as an 'Assistant Teacher' in the Primary School represented by Respondent No.6 at Talegaon Dhamdhere, Tal.Shirur, Dist.Pune. He was appointed on 20 January 2015 and has completed his probation period of two years. The Petitioner belongs to OBC category and his appointment was against a clear available vacant post in the school for the category and after making requisitions to the Education Authorities for sending a surplus teacher and when no surplus teacher was sent to the school. A proposal for approval of the Petitioner's appointment was duly sent by the school management on 27 February 2017 to Respondent No.2-Divisional Deputy Director. Despite pendency of that application for about three years, no decision has been taken on it. The Petitioner in the premises prays for expeditious disposal of the proposal. 2.

Learned AGP for the Respondent-State submits that the Petitioner's proposal shall be duly considered by Respondent No.2. Aarti Palkar 1 / 2

In the premises, this petition can be conveniently disposed of by directing Respondent No.2 to decide the school management's application for approval to the appointment of the Petitioner in a time bound manner. Accordingly, Respondent No.2 is directed to decide the application of Respondent Nos.5 and 6 for grant of approval to the Petitioner's appointment in Respondent No.6 school within a period of six weeks from today.
