By this application, sent through jail, the applicant seeks legal aid as well as expeditious hearing of his appeal. This Court, vide a separate order passed today in Criminal Application No. 1906 of 2018, has already expedited the hearing of the appeal and has directed the Registry to place the appeal on the final hearing board in the week commencing from 25th March 2019.

As far as prayer for advocate from Free Legal Aid Panel is concerned, the same is allowed. Advocate Mr. Veerdhawal Deshmukh is requested to appear as amicus curiae to assist the Court and also to espouse the cause of the applicant in the aforesaid appeal. Mr. Deshmukh has graciously accepted the request. Office to furnish complete set of paper-book to the learned amicus curiae forthwith. The applicant, in his letter sent through jail, has also sought cancellation of the Vakalatnama of the earlier Advocate, Mr. Aniket Vagal, Advocate is discharged from the said case. The application is accordingly allowed on the aforesaid terms and is disposed of accordingly.
