The Petitioner seeks following prayer:

(a) This Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus and/or any other writ, order or directions in the nature of mandamus thereby directing the Respondent No.2 Committee to decide the Appeal dated 25.7.2016 filed by the petitioner against the order dated 16.7.2016 passed by the Respondent No.3 thereby rejecting the application of the petitioner for grant of Caste Certificate as belonging to Thakur, Scheduled Tribe. 2.

The Appeal against rejection of Caste Certificate is pending since July, 2016. In the circumstances, we direct the Respondent No.2-Scrutiny Committee to decide the Appeal expeditiously and in any event within a period of 12 weeks from today.
