Petitioner has filed this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India challenging the order dated 2nd January, 2014 passed by the Vice Chancellor, University of Pune rejecting his representation in regard to the decision taken for cancellation of his result. Briefly stated, in the earlier round of litigation in Writ Petition No.1041 of 2012, this Court had passed an order giving opportunity to the petitioner to

2 24-wp-3615.2015.sxw submit representation before the Vice Chancellor. The grievance of the petitioner is that the decision of the University is based on misconstruction of the Circular dated 2nd July, 2010 (Annexure "P"). He submits that since the petitioner has taken admission for first year LL.B. Course in October, 2004, the stipulated period for completion of the course has to be counted from October, 2005 and in that sense, the petitioner having completed the course in October, 2011, he has completed the course of LL.B. Degree within the stipulated period of six years.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, we find that the petitioner had taken admission for the first year of LL.B. Examination in the year 2003 and not 2004 as has been stated. Thus the period for counting six years would start from 2004 and not from 2005 and as the petitioner has completed the course in the year 2011, the same is beyond the stipulated period of six years. As such, we find no fault with the decision taken by the Vice Chancellor of University of Pune. As a result, petition fails and the same is dismissed.
