1.
By this petition, the Petitioner is challenging the order passed by the Competent Authority under section 55 of the Maharashtra Police Act. Mr. Bhosale, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner does not not dispute that the Petitioner has already filed an appeal under section 60 of the said Act. He however states that the Petitioner's application for the stay of impugned order is rejected. The said order is placed on record by Mr. Bhosale. We have perused the same. It is made clear in the said order that the Petitioner's appeal would be heard expeditiously on the next available date. In these circumstances, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed. Hearing of the appeal pending before the Divisional Commissioner is, however, expedited. The Commissioner shall ensure that the said appeal is disposed of as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [Smt.
