None appears on behalf of the Petitioners. The learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of the Respondent - State. Perused the petition. The grievance of the Petitioners is that though they had filed an application on 14.11.2014 for transfer of tribal land to non tribal land to the Collector Office, Palghar alongwith necessary documents and affidavits, no decision has been taken so far by the Collector. This being the only grievance, the petition can be 1 / 2

WP. 3105-17 conveniently disposed of by directing the concerned competent authority viz. the Collector, district Palghar (Respondent No. 4 herein) to decide the Petitioners' application after giving them opportunity of hearing, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within a period of 8 weeks. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
