Having heard learned counsel for the respective parties, in our considered view, this Petition can be disposed of by directing the Respondent No.2 - Commissioner, Thane Municipal Corporation, to decide the Petitioners representation dated 18th February, 2017, a copy of which is at Exhibit - 'F', page 38 of the Petition, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and all points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open.

The Commissioner /Competent Authority, shall decide the representation of the Petitioners, after hearing all concerned. 4.

In order to enable the Commissioner/Competent Authority to comply with the aforesaid order, the Petitioners shall remain present before him, on 27th December, 2018 along with a copy of this order and copy of the representation.

The Petition is accordingly disposed of.
