The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has made an application for recording the name of the Petitioner as the legal heir of the original owner in the relevant Revenue Record as per Section 149 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code. The said application is not yet decided. Though the same is pending since 29 October 2021. 2.

In case the Petitioner has filed an Application for recording of the legal heirs of the deceased in Revenue Record (page 25), then the concerned Authority shall take decision in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months.

The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
