Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner, as well as, for the Respondent No.2 make a joint statement that the matter is settled between the petitioner and the Respondent No.2. They have entered into the consent terms dated 28.08.2023. Learned counsel for the Respondent No.2 specifically accepted this statement made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

In view of this settlement, both the parties i.e. the petitioner and the Respondent No.2 can approach the Trial Court for compounding of the offence, as far as, the petitioner is concerned.

In view of this development, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition on merits before this Court. He seeks leave to withdraw this petition with liberty to approach the court of Magistrate for making appropriate application for compounding of the offence.
