IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY

CRIMINAL APPELLATE JURISDICTION CRIMINAL APPEAL NO.330 OF 2007 Tanveer Ahmed M. Ibrahim Ansari & Anr.

..Appellants.

Vs.

The State of Maharashtra .

..Respondent ----- None for Appellants Mr. H.J. Dedhia, APP for the State.

----- CORAM: SMT. V.K. TAHILRAMANI, Acting C.J. & A.S. GADKARI, J.

22nd September, 2015 P.C.:

The appellants are involved in a case under Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOC Act). The appellants had preferred an application under Section 167 (2) of Cr. P.C. before the Trial Court wherein they prayed that bail may be granted. The said application came to be rejected by the Trial Court. Hence this appeal.

On the last date, Advocate Mr. Amin Solkar was representing the appellants. However, Mr. Amin Solkar stated that the papers have been taken away by the appellants from

him and he has also given no objection to the appellants. In this view of the matter, Advocate Mr. Amin Solkar was discharged. Learned APP on instructions states that the trial in the said case i.e. MCOC Special Case No.21 of 2006 is over and the appellants have been convicted in the said case and the matter is kept for hearing on the point of sentence. Looking to the fact that the trial is over, the appeal is disposed of as infructuous.
