During the course of argument, Mr. Sarda, learned counsel for the petitioners, restricted his relief to prayer clause (c). Mr. Pai, learned counsel for respondent No.5 an Mr. Sawant, learned AGP for respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 submitted that the petitioners' representation is addressed to the Sub-Divisional Officer, Jath, and have no objection, if the same is directed to be disposed of expeditiously. 2.
In the above circumstances, we dispose of this petition by directing respondent No.2 to decide the petitioners' representation dated 18th January, 2016, a copy of which is annexed at "Exhibit B", page 41, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the order. The petition is, accordingly, disposed of.

It is expressly made clear that we have no gone into the merits of the matter and all rights and contentions of the respective parties are kept open. The Sub-Divisional Officer shall decide the petitioners' representation independently on its own merits and in accordance with law.
