It is an admitted fact on record that, when the Petitioner was released on parole leave on 27th September 2008, instead of reporting the Jail Authority within stipulated period, he absconded, was to be arrested by police and brought to Jail back after lapse of 3671 days. It is thus apparent that, the Petitioner was absconding for a period of more than 10 years. 2.

In view of Circular dated 7th October 2019, the name of Petitioner can be re-entered in remission register after 16 years of his actual imprisonment in Jail.

In view of above, we find no merit in the Petition. Petition is accordingly dismissed.
