The deduction in the remission of sentence to be granted to the Petitioner by 355 days, we find, to be in accordance with the applicable Rules. The deduction of 355 days from the remission period of the Petitioner is calculated at the rate of 5 days for absence of each day, and the Petitioner being unauthorizedly absent from the prison for 71 days, the total of the remission period is 355 days. Now the Petitioner has been taken back on the remission Register and, henceforth, the Husen Page 1 of 2 12 WP-5724-2021.doc

Petitioner would be eligible for grant of remission in sentence in accordance with Rules.

Thus, we find no merits in the petition. Petition stands dismissed.
