P.C. :

1.

The instant Public Interest Petitions pending in the record room of this Court since the year 2006 have not moved ahead towards their destination. Issue concerns the conditions of jail reforms in the State of Maharashtra.

2.

In a suo moto registered public interest Petition bearing SMPIL No.3 of 2017 with the assistance of the State Legal Services Committee a holistic view of prison reforms, be it number of prisoners in the jails, be it the staff, be it the facilities required to be provided to the prisoners, is being monitored by the Court and thus we terminate proceedings in the instant Petitions by directing the Registry to consign the Petitions to the Record Room. 3.

In view of the above, the Civil Application No.53 of 2008 also stands disposed of.
