A request was made by the Petitioner for changing the barrack. It appears that the said request was not acceded to by the concerned authority. Hence this Petition. It is within the domain of the concerned authority to place a convict or under trial prisoner in a particular or proper barrack and it is not for the High Court to issue any mandatory direction in that regard. Be that as it may, it would be open for the Petitioner to avail of appropriate remedy as available in law to take his grievance to the higher authority if it subsists till date.

With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. The Registry of this Court shall send a copy of this order to the concerned authority who in turn communicate the same to the Petitioner. [MILIND N. JADHAV, J] [S. S. SHINDE , J] lgc
