The Petitioner has filed this petition for the following relief:

"(a) that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus or a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other writ, order or direction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India ordering and directing the Respondent no. 3 to forthwith finalize provisional assessment of the 38 Bills of Entry (detailed in Exhibit "A'"') and return the Bank Guarantees furnished by the Petitioner at the time of provisional assessment, duly discharged and cancelled;"

The learned counsel for the Respondents states that instructions have been received from the Deputy Collector of Customs (Group 1 and 1A) JNCH that the bills of entry will be finalized on merits within a period of four weeks from today. The learned counsel for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner is satisfied with the stand taken and the petition can be disposed of. 3.

Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
