This is an application for condonation of delay in preferring an application for leave to appeal for challenging acquittal of respondent no.2 of the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. avk 1/2
14-APPLN-146-2018.doc Heard both sides. The learned counsel appearing for respondent no.2 vehemently opposed the application by contending that there is no sufficient cause for the resultant delay.
I have considered the submissions so advanced. The application contains reasons for the short delay of six days. Hence, the following order :

i) The delay in filing the application for leave to appeal is condoned.
ii) The application is accordingly disposed off.
