The Petitioner's Application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is pending since the year 2000. The order of the Reference Court was carried in Appeal before this Court which was disposed of on 22 January 2010. We are informed that said order dated 22 January 2010 has attained finality.

In the circumstance, we dispose of the Petition by directing the Respondent No.1-the Special Land Acquisition Officer to decide the Petitioners Application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, expeditiously and preferably within six months from the date a copy of this order is produced before him.

We record the statement of learned Counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner shall approach Respondent No.1 - the Special Land Acquisition Officer alongwith copy of this order within two weeks from today.
