Mr. Behre, learned Counsel for the petitioner at the outset states that the Petitioner is restricting his petition to the relief in prayer clause (a). Statement is accepted.
Prayer clause (a) reads as follows :
"a) That Necessary direction may please be issued to the Respondent No. 1 Dy. Registrar Co-op. Societies Thane City, Thane to conduct inquiry Under section 83 & 88 of Maharashtra Co-op. Societies Act 1960 by appointing independent officer and to conduct the inquiry within reasonable time."

28.wp4582.17 One Dr. Ashok Kumbhar, Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Thane has filed affidavit dated 28/7/2017. In paragraph-7 thereof, the statement is made that appropriate decision would be taken on Petitioner's application dated 26/12/2016 within a period of one month. The statement is accepted.
In the light of the above statement, grievance of the Petitioner no more survives for consideration. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. The Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Society shall take appropriate decision on the Petitioner's application within a period of one month. It is expressly made clear that we have no gone into the merits of the matter. All points and contentions of the respective parties are kept open.
