The motion of no confidence passed against the Petitioner who was the Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Khanota, Taluka Daund, District Pune, which motion was passed by a majority of 7:0 and which is confirmed by the Appellate Authority, is taken exception by way of the above Petition. The challenge to the said Motion is on the ground that a person who has been disqualified was allowed to sit and vote in the meeting. Even if the said disqualified person's vote is to be discounted, the motion would still be carried by 6:0 and therefore the intervention of this Court against the orders passed by the authorities below is not warranted, the Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.
