1] Heard learned counsel for the parties.

2] It is the case of the Petitioner that 4 Hectare and 9 Are land belonging to his father was acquired for the Patgaon Irrigation Project and thus claim is that his late father became entitled to compensatory land under the Maharashtra Project Affected Persons Rehabilitation Act, 1986. On his death, the petitioner steps into the shoes of the father.

3] Grievance in the Writ Petition is to the representations/demand applications filed post 2013 and the latest on 14.11.2018, not being responded to.

4] Thus, we dispose of the Petition directing the 2nd Respondent to treat the present Writ Petition as a representation to him and pass necessary orders dealing with the claim of the Petitioner. The order shall be passed within eight weeks from today and if the Petitioner is held entitled to be allotted compensatory land the same would be indicated in the order. Upon the Petitioner complying with the requisite formalities, formal allotment shall be made and possession shall be handed over. If claim of the Petitioner is rejected, reasons for the rejection would be indicated. Needless to state, in said eventuality the Petitioner would be entitled to remedy as per law. Balaji G.
