The petitioner was disqualified as councilor. An appeal under section 44 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils Act, 1065 has been filed before the Hon'ble Minister. Learned counsel submits that election programme for electing new council is declared. The appeal is required to be heard expeditiously. It is submitted that voting will take place on 22nd April 2015.

Learned A.G.P. submits that assembly session is going on. No sooner the session is complete, the Hon'ble Minister will hear the appeal finally and dispose of the same within four weeks thereafter.
