This is an Application for modification of order dated 18th January, 2022 passed by this Court in Interim Application No. 3054 of 2021.

The sentence of imprisonment was suspended by this Court vide order dated 18th January, 2022 and the Applicant was directed to be released on bail on executing P. R. Bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount. The Applicant was also permitted to furnish cash bail security of Rs. 25,000/- for a period of eight weeks from the date of the order.

Learned Advocate for the Applicant submits that the Applicant had furnished cash bail and he was released from prison after a period of about four weeks from the date of the borey/

The Applicant is seeking extension of facility of cash bail for a period of eight weeks from today. It is also submitted that during the trial, the Applicant was on bail and he had furnished surety bond. The Applicant is not in a position to get the fresh surety and hence, Applicant may be permitted to furnish the same surety with fresh bond.

In view of the above submissions, the cash bail facility granted by this Court is extended by a period of eight weeks from today. The Applicant is permitted to furnish the same surety for executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with fresh bond.
