This is an application filed by an under trial prisoner for expeditious trial of Sessions Case No.746 of 2010 pending before the Additional Sessions Judge, Pune. In the alternative the Applicant has also prayed that he be released on bail.

The learned APP has tendered the report dated 2.2.2016. Same is taken on record. The said report indicates that the trial has already commenced, total 16 witnesses have been examined and that the evidence of three Nodal Officers and the Investigating Officer is to be recorded. The case is at fag end. Hence, it is not expedient to give any further direction to the Sessions Court or order to release the Megha 1/2
