P.C.:- 1) Petitioner is aggrieved by imposition of cut in the remission at the ratio of 1:5 days for the period of 62 days in late reporting to Jail Authority when he was released on Furlough Leave. 2) Perusal of record indicates that, Petitioner was issued notice by the Competent Authority/Jail Authority and thereafter the said punishment has been inflicted in consonance with notification dated 2nd August, 2011 issued by the Chief Secretary, Government of Maharashtra prescribing cut in remission in the eventuality of a prisoner reporting late to the Jail Authority.

ssm 2 54-wp5647.21.doc 3) Perusal of impugned Order indicates that, the Competent Authority has not committed any error while inflicting the said punishment upon Petitioner.
