Heard the learned counsel for the applicant. The learned counsel submits that the applicant is in custody since 2017. His application seeking bail was withdrawn on 6th July 2018 only after the Court was not inclined to grant bail and the present application is filed on the ground that there is a delay in trial. varsha

The learned APP submits upon instructions that the next date before the trial Court is 8th July 2021, this would show that there was some progress in the trial Court. In any case, the present pandemic situation is prevailing since March 2020 and it is not possible for the Court's to expedite the matter. Hence, the learned Sessions Court seized with Sessions Case No. 167 of 2017 pending before the Session Court at Baramati is requested to make an endeavour to conclude the recording of evidence before 28th February 2022. 3.

The application is disposed of accordingly.
