This is an application for extension of time to furnish surety before the Court of learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate and to extend the facility of the cash bail.

The applicant was granted bail in accordance with Section 167(2) of Criminal Procedure Code (in short 'Cr.P.C.) vide Order dated 25th January 2021 by the Court of learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate 8th Court Esplanade, Mumbai. The bail was Digitally signed by RajeP. Aher Date:

Aher granted with direction to execute P.R. bond of Rs.2 Lakhs with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount. The applicant was granted

provisional cash bail of Rs.2 Lakhs which was allowed subject to condition that within one month from his release on bail, the applicant shall furnish solvent sureties.

Subsequently, the applicant moved an application for extension of time, before the same Court and time was extended by one week. Thereafter, the applicant moved an application before the Sessions Court which had extended time for further two weeks. 4.

Learned Counsel for the applicant submits that he is in process of furnishing solvent sureties. Extension of four weeks may be granted to the applicant. The prayer is opposed by the learned Counsel for the respondent. It is submitted that huge amount is involved in this case. Sufficient time was granted by the learned Magistrate as well as by the Sessions Court. Hence, no further extension be granted to the applicant.

It is noted that the bail amount was in the sum of Rs.2 Lakhs with one or two solvent sureties in the like amount. The applicant has contended that the process of furnishing sureties is in progress and it would take some time. Hence, by way of last indulgence, the applicant is granted four weeks time to furnish solvent sureties in accordance with order dated 25th January 2021. The cash bail facility

granted by the learned Magistrate shall continue for further period of four weeks. No further extension will be granted. 6.

The application stands disposed of.
