The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner will adopt the remedy under Section 406 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949 and to enable the petitioner to avail the remedy, a limited ad-interim relief be granted. Accordingly, the petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to take recourse to Section 406 of the Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949. We direct that for the period of 3 weeks from today, no further steps shall be taken on the basis of Exhibit N-1 for the payment of property taxes. All contentions on merit are kept open.
