I have heard Mr. Shivarkar, learned Advocate for the applicant at length, Mr. Gaikwad, learned A.P.P., for respondent No.1 - State and Ms. Dharamshil, learned Advocate appearing for respondent No.2.

On being confronted with serious nature of the crime, learned Advocate, in all fairness, submitted that he may be permitted to withdraw the bail application.

Learned Advocate submits that considering the fact that the trial is pending since 2020, this Court may direct the trial Court to expedite hearing of the case.

In view of the statement made by the learned Advocate for the applicant, the application stands disposed of as withdrawn. Learned Presiding Officer who is seized with the trial is requested to conduct the trial expeditiously. The learned Presiding Officer is requested that once the trial begins, it must be conducted strictly by adhering to the provisions of section 309 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
