Heard learned counsel (appointed) for the petitioner and learned APP for the Respondent/State.

The matter has been engaging attention of this Court and on two or three occasions speaking orders have been passed. 3.

Accordingly reports dated 6/2/2018, 12/3/2018, 5/5/2018, 30/6/2018, 26/7/2018, 7/8/2018, 5/9/2018a nd 21/12/2018 are received by this Court.

We are not inclined to examine those reports since the later report brings on record some improvement in the matter. 5.

Grievance made by the petitioner is about substandard food articles and impure drinking water within jail and not providing food 4 times in a day. He submits that usually food is provided only thrice in a day.

Harassment or ill-treatment to prisoner who complains is also pointed out. Learned counsel (appointed) states that such complaints when put in complaint box usually result in harassment or ill-treatment. 7.

Learned APP upon instructions states that meal and dinner is regularly provided. He denies all allegations. 8.

As already noted supra we do not wish to record anything at this stage. We direct the Principal District Judge, Nashik or his representative to keep this grievance in mind while conducting the inspection and to look into it during subsequent visits. 9.

We also grant the prisoner leave to approach this Court again in the matter if the grievance subsists. Order be communicated to the prisoner in jail.
