Heard the learned Counsel for the applicant.

By an order dated 5th February, 2024, the applicant was ordered to be released on bail on furnishing a PR Bond in the sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

The learned Counsel, who is appointed to espouse the cause of the applicant, submits that the applicant could not furnish the bail on account of poor financial position. The applicant has been incarcerated since 2015. While releasing 1/2

30-IA954-2024INBA1012-2023.DOC the applicant on bail this Court has considered the long period of incarceration of the applicant.

As the applicant could not avail the bail and continues to languish in prison for almost eight and half years, it may be expedient to reduce the amount of bail bond and also permit the applicant to furnish cash security in lieu of surety for a limited period. Hence, the application stands allowed. 5.

The applicant be released on bail on furnishing a PR Bond in the sum of Rs.50,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

6.

For the period of four weeks, the applicant is permitted to furnish cash security in lieu of surety.

Application stands disposed.
