The petitioners are before this Court challenging rejection of consideration of their application under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short "1894 Act"). 2.

Similar issue came to be disposed of by our detailed order dated 1st February 2017 in Writ Petition No. 147 of 2016 by placing reliance on Union of India & Anr. vs. Hansoli Devi & Ors., (2002) 7 SCC 273 wherein we directed the respondent Authority to consider the reference on the basis of the application under Section 28A of the 1894 Act without referring to the question of limitation.
